We first photographed Nik, Jo and the kids about eighteen months ago. On that occasion it was in a park in Autumn so this time they wanted a natural beach setting so we met them at our local beach here in Llantwit Major. There was hardly a cloud in the sky and the kids had great fun splashing about in the shallows, the hardest part was keeping the little ones dry!!

The Lindsays had their first ‘on location’ Family Portrait Photography session last Saturday. Despite the wind, it was dry and sometimes sunny at the beach in Llantwit Major. Evan looked so cool in his yellow Mac’ & he enjoyed walking on the flat rocks with his Mum & Dad, Jules & Dave! We love to photograph at this beach as it provides a cool back drop for Portrait Photography and includes the element of Landscape Photography too. We first photographed Evan as a newborn 18 months ago, it is fab watching him grow and to see him running around, enjoying the outdoors! We met Jules & Dave 8 years ago when they asked us to photograph their Wedding Photography in South Wales at The Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel, Coychurch, Bridgend, they have just celebrated their 7 years Anniversary!

Here are a few images of Gemma and Matt’s beach portrait photography shoot on Saturday at our local beach at Llantwit Major. Amazingly it was actually warm enough to take our winter coats off, lets hope spring is finally here! The sun was so bright, so we decided to shoot a mixture of silhouette, high key and reflected light shots. Gemma and Matt were great sports and battled the rocks, slippery seaweed and incoming tide to get their outdoor portraits. It was great fun and we can’t wait to photograph their wedding, which is coming up at the New House Country Hotel, Thornhill, Cardiff.
Here are a couple of images from yesterdays photography workshop in Llantwit Major, South Wales. Dawn is always a great time of day along the Vale of Glamorgan coastline if you can get out of bed on time! Yesterdays cloud formations just before sunrise were really colourful and a real treat. All landscapes were taken using Canons 24mm tilt and shift lens. The flowers were taken using the Canon 100mm 2.8l macro lens with a combination of natural window light with a hand held LED back light. If anyone is interested in a photography workshop please contact us for further information and availability.
These are a few of our favourite wedding photos from Rachel & Joseff’s wedding at The Bear Hotel Cowbridge. Rachel got ready at her parents house in Rhoose with her family and bridesmaids. It was a very relaxing start to the day. Her Grandfather drove her to St. Illtud’s Church in Llantwit Major in his vintage Rolls Royce. It is great to work in our local church, it is so lovely inside. We did a few family groups at the church and finished the rest at the Bear Hotel Cowbridge. We took Rachel and Jos on a short walk around Cowbridge Town and the Physic Garden to finish their Bridal Portraits. Wedding Details: Venue Bear Hotel Cowbridge, Dress by Ellis Bridal, Flowers by Cariad Designs, Shoes by Faith, Suits by Perfection, Honeymoon in Mexico.
Here are some of our favourite images from Pippa & Chris’s Llantwit Major wedding at St. Illtud’s Church, in the Vale of Glamorgan. Followed by a Marquee reception at Tresilian Bay between Llantwit Major and St. Donats. We started at the house in Tresilian Bay where Pippa was getting ready with her mum, brother and bridesmaids. Pippa was taken to St. Illtud’s Church for the Llantwit Major Wedding in a horse and carriage which was great to capture as she was approaching down the narrow streets. Luckily the rain held off long enough for us to get the wedding photography of the families at the church. Pippa had noticed a farmers field of wheat on her way to the church so we stopped there for some bridal wedding photography on the way back to the house, the views over the channel were great. It was great to do a Llantwit Major Wedding as the church is literally right on our doorstep.
