Hodsock Priory Wedding

Wedding photography at Hodsock Priory in Blyth in Nottinghamshire.  Hodsock Priory is a historic country house and grounds on the border of Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire.  Helen & Noel came home from Sydney, Australia to get married and the weather came up trumps for them.  The whole day was at Hodsock Priory and we took full advantage of the extensive grounds and large lake.  All the guests were able to take advantage of the great weather and beautiful grounds in the early evening.  A local band provided the night time entertainment & was kicked of with Helen & Noel’s first dance.

Cawdor Hotel Wedding Photography

Wedding photography taken at the Cawdor Hotel in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire.  The day commenced at The Cawdor Hotel where the bride was getting ready with her close friends and family.  The ceremony was in All Saints Church, Llanelli.  After a few photographs at the church we went back to Llandeilo for some bridal portraits in a park above the town.  Kathryn and Rob were transported in a Classic American car from Happy Days Cars of Cardiff.  We were able to make use of some great cloud & skies and also a lovely bandstand which really added to the 50’s theme of the day.  We completed our day back at the Cawdor Hotel where we took a few family portraits.

City Hall Cardiff Wedding Photography

An Asian wedding photographed at Cardiff City Hall.  An Asian wedding is both fascinating to see and photograph.  There are many parts to the ceremony that have to be photographed throughout the day.  This sometimes includes the evening before when all the girls get Henna tattoos.  The day itself started very early with the bride getting ready and being made up in her traditional costume.  We then made our way to the City Hall Cardiff to make sure we were ready for the Grooms arrival ceremony.  The main part of the ceremony then takes place on the stage and Indian Mandap, this part of the ceremony includes many traditional rituals and is equally fascinating.  We did manage to take some bridal portraits at the Civic centre buildings around the City Hall.  One of the most emotional parts of the ceremony is when the bride says goodbye to her family.  This is a real privilege to witness and photograph and really does leave a lump in the throat.  The final part of the ceremony is the bride entering the grooms home with a few much more ‘lighthearted’ rituals.

Chase Hotel Wedding

A Wedding photographed at  The Chase Hotel in Ross on Wye, in Herefordshire, South Wales.  The day started at the family diary farm in the Herefordshire countryside where everyone was helping Nicky get ready.  The Ceremony took place at a nearby St. David’s Church, Much Dewchurch.  Nicky arrived in a horse and carriage and after the ceremony Nicky and Aaron were able to take a short ride before being transported to the Chase Hotel in Ross.  We did all of the family portraits as soon as we arrived at the Chase Hotel.  We were then able to use the extensive grounds and the hotel interior to take the Bridal wedding photographs before the bride and groom sat down for their wedding breakfast.  The guests were able to take advantage of the nice evening weather and sit outside whilst having their Hog Roast buffet.  A local band was used for the evening festivities.
