Wedding Photography Clearwell Castle

The stunning venue of Cardiff Wedding Photography Clearwell Castle was the venue for Nicola & Andrew’s wedding and the sun was shining!  It was Christmas day 2013 when Andrew proposed in front of all of their family at their home, so it was fitting that all of the key members of the Bridal party were either family or very good friends and even Sue, Andrew’s Mum made their four tier cake!  We arrived as Nicola was moving from the cottage in the grounds where Brides usually get ready in to the Bridal Suite in the Castle, which was great as it a gorgeous large and light room, perfect for us and for the make Up artist, Mel from Perfect Image in Usk – who is married to one of the Best Men, Richie! Nicola was joined there by her beautiful daughter, Paige, who is eight and her Sister, Lindsay with her two daughters, Millie & Amy who were all performing Bridesmaids & Flower Girls duties.  Once their hair had been finished by Stacey from Andrew Bayliss in Monmouth, and the girls had been dressed in their dresses from John Lewis they all helped Nicola in to her stunning dress from All About Eve.  We caught up with Andrew and his Best Men, Dan, his brother and Richie and their Usher Adam who is Nicola’s brother – Andrew had just been driven to the Castle in Richie’s car, an S Type Jaguar, which was donned with personalised number plates of Andrew’s surname!  Andrew’s gorgeous Son’s Elliott & Lucas arrived too to make up the rest of the bridal party, looking very smart in their waistcoats.  The ceremony was lovely, with Nicola’s Dad, Brent, giving her away and Mel and Nicola’s Uncle Malcolm performing readings.  As the weather was so stunning we were able to go straight outside after the ceremony and take all of the family & friends photographs in the cooling shade at the front of the Castle.  We then took Nicola & Andrew for some time on their own to get some beautiful photographs of them in the grounds before they sat down to a delicious meal prepared for them by the chef’s at Clearwell, which was followed by the excellent speeches.  There was time for us to capture some more images of the lovely couple as the sun was starting to set before the evening proceedings began, which were kicked off by Richie singing rendition of Labi Siffre’s ‘Something inside so strong’ he has an amazing voice!  Nicola & Andrew took to the dancefloor to perform their first dance at which point we left them to dance the night away!
