We feel extremely honoured that we are able to photograph this little family repeatedly! We first photographed Sarah & Jamie at their wedding in September 2008 and have then photographed Sam, Bryony & Ben as they have come along! This shoot was all about the Bluebells, in the Bluebell wood close to their home in St Hilary, we walked to the spot and then captured them enjoying the warm sun, sitting on fallen trees and even a bit of climbing – good old fashioned kids fun!

This was our first ‘Cake Smash’ and we had so much fun! Elin didn’t so much as smash but delicately pick at the cake and clearly enjoyed the taste as each mouthful was followed by a ‘Mmmmmmm’! The Rainbow Cake was provided by Happy Occasion Cakes in Cwmbran and was delicious – as usual! They make bespoke cakes to order. We provided the cake stand and bunting and Mum provided the ‘frilly pants’. This portrait shoot is the last in the ‘Bump to Baby and onwards Package’, Mum, Rachel, didn’t want the maternity shoot but we first photographed Elin when she was 10 days old! We hope to be able to continue to photograph her throughout her young life and mark milestones with fun photo shoots!

A location family portait with Castell Coch as the backdrop, in celebration of Clive’s 80th Birthday! (Not that you would believe he was 80!) Ceri and her two brothers Mark & David and their Mum Pam wanted the family all together and to create some lovely memories with them and the grandchildren. They braved the cool weather to wander around the Castle grounds, making the most of fallen branches in the woodland area and the lovely Castle itself.

We had a great time last week photographing these adorable twin sisters Evie & Avie. It was great to catch up with Kellieann after photographing her and Ian’s wedding last year. We much prefer to shoot newborns in the comfort of their own home as we find this much less stressful for both babies and parents. All these images were taken using natural light. With newborn photography it is very important to capture them within the first two weeks, preferably within the first week. Patience is definitely the key with newborns as you really have to ‘work around them’! However we had no problem photographing Evie and Avie, they were the perfect models for their very first photo shoot!

At last, we finally got Gemma and her family along with her brother and girlfriend together for their ‘on location’ Family Beach Portrait Photography! It had been a grey though dry day but when we got to the beach the sun was peeking through the clouds throwing out fab rays on to the sea! Alfie & Isla loved running along the sand, though Isla was desperate to run in to the sea! We did a combination of images including one of all six of them for Gemma’s Mum & Dad as a Christmas present – but sshh they don’t know about it!! Fab idea!! The tide was out so Andy was able to get some reflection shots at the beach in Llantwit Major, we love to photograph at this beach as it provides a cool backdrop for Portrait Photography and includes the element of Landscape Photography too. The golden cliffs provide an alternative to the sea as a backdrop so we did some more there too.

This is part one of our Bumps to Baby Package which will include a choice from Maternity, Newborn, Toddler & 1st Birthday photo shoot. This is the maternity photography part of blooming mum to be Sarah. It will be a great honour to capture Sarah and her newborn’s precious first years journey. All these images were shot in one session with natural lighting or a very simple lighting set up. As it was still warm we even managed to take advantage of a lovely sunset down at our local beach. Our aim is to produce a set of stylish images that Sarah can look back on in years to come and remember that special time.

We love meeting new families and little 6 month old Sarah certainly made it a lovely experience! Her Mum & Dad, Ruth & Andrew said she was a real smiler and she didn’t disappoint. Sarah got used to us pretty quickly, probably helped by the fact that we were in the comfort of her home so she was surrounded by everything familiar. The natural light from their living room window was perfect and their white tub chair provided the best support for her, although she is sitting by herself she is a real wriggler so can topple over! We captured so many expressions in a short space of time, there are some lovely ones of the three of them too!

It was sooo fab to see’The Doorhof’s again, this time to photograph their little girl Mia who was 11 moths old! We photographed Hayley & Paul’s wedding in 2008 at The Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel, near Usk and it is a real compliment to be asked to photograph them again and again as their family grow and to capture them at different stages, along with their cousins and the rest of the family. We photographed Ethan at the beach the last time, and we started outside their house this time but Mia was happier jumping on Mum & Dad’s bed! The room was lovely and light and their wallpaper provided a lovely back drop for the portraits. Our favourite photographs are the ones with the sunglasses, a view shared by Hayley & Paul!

We first photographed Nik, Jo and the kids about eighteen months ago. On that occasion it was in a park in Autumn so this time they wanted a natural beach setting so we met them at our local beach here in Llantwit Major. There was hardly a cloud in the sky and the kids had great fun splashing about in the shallows, the hardest part was keeping the little ones dry!!

The Lindsays had their first ‘on location’ Family Portrait Photography session last Saturday. Despite the wind, it was dry and sometimes sunny at the beach in Llantwit Major. Evan looked so cool in his yellow Mac’ & he enjoyed walking on the flat rocks with his Mum & Dad, Jules & Dave! We love to photograph at this beach as it provides a cool back drop for Portrait Photography and includes the element of Landscape Photography too. We first photographed Evan as a newborn 18 months ago, it is fab watching him grow and to see him running around, enjoying the outdoors! We met Jules & Dave 8 years ago when they asked us to photograph their Wedding Photography in South Wales at The Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel, Coychurch, Bridgend, they have just celebrated their 7 years Anniversary!
