Peterstone Court Wedding Photography

Wedding images taken at Peterstone Court Hotel in Brecon, Powys.  Ruth and James chose Peterstone Court Hotel for their special day.  Ruth got ready at her parents house before going on to St. Mary’s Church in Monmouth for the wedding ceremony.  After the ceremony Ruth and James had a ride through the town of Monmouth in a horse drawn carriage.  They were then taken to Peterstone Court in their car for the day provided by Happy Days Car Hire.  Upon arrival at the hotel Ruth and James were greeted by a very heavy shower.  Luckily it didn’t last long and we were able to take advantage of some very stormy skies.  It was a lovely time of year to photograph as the blue bells and blossom were out in abundance.

Wedding Photography taken at Tredegar House in Newport.  Victoria and Alex had a civil ceremony at Tredegar House in Newport.  A beautiful venue set in stunning grounds and presently owned by the National Trust.  After the ceremony we were invited to take a few private shots of Victoria and Alex in two areas where the general public aren’t allowed access.  We took advantage of the dry weather to take all the family portraits and then the Bridal portraits in the stunning Tredegar House Grounds.  After the afternoon wedding breakfast Victoria and Alex moved on to Peterstone Lakes Golf Club for their evening entertainment.

Court Colman Winter Wedding Photography

Court Colman Wedding Photography

Winter Wedding photography taken at Court Colman Manor near Bridgend in South Wales.  This wedding, photographed at Court Colman Manor was in December.  A big dump of snow on the Friday evening had us waking up to crystal clear skies with fairytale winter wonderland scenes.  Shirley and Nick traveled back from Perth, Austrailia for their winter wedding with family and friends.  We arrived in the local village of Llandough to find locals helping clear pathways through the snow to the church.  Luckily Nick had access to a four wheel drive as the hill from the Court Colman Manor proved very slippery.  Shirley walked to the church with mum and dad in their wellies.  After the church ceremony all the guests made their way slowly to the hotel.  Nick and Shirley had to make do with our four wheel drive for transport as unfortunately their VW Camper couldn’t make it because of the snow.  We were able to stop for some bridal portraits in the beautiful snow covered lanes en route.  Everything ran smoothly at the hotel in spite of the weather, a magical day!

Overseas Wedding Photography Tuscany

Overseas Wedding Photography Tuscany

Overseas Wedding Photography taken in Cortona, Tuscany.  Cortona is a hilltop town in central Tuscany made famous in the film ‘Under the Tuscan Sun’.  All in all, simply a stunning venue for overseas wedding photography.  Megan and Darren had a very intimate affair with Megans twin sister, husband and son and us as the photographers.  Megan got ready in a beautiful Tuscan villa before heading up the hill for the ceremony in the town hall.  The ceremony was lovely and conducted by the town Mayor, a very charismatic Italian.  Megan had organized a champagne lunch looking over the town square.  We were then able to wander round the narrow streets taking bridal portraits, it was amazing views around every corner.  The day was completed with an intimate Italian meal in a local restaurant.  If you are interested in booking some overseas wedding photography, please contact us to discuss your needs.

City Hall Cardiff Wedding Photography

City Hall Cardiff Wedding Photography

An Asian wedding photographed at Cardiff City Hall.  An Asian wedding is both fascinating to see and photograph.  There are many parts to the ceremony that have to be photographed throughout the day.  This sometimes includes the evening before when all the girls get Henna tattoos.  The day itself started very early with the bride getting ready and being made up in her traditional costume.  We then made our way to the City Hall Cardiff to make sure we were ready for the Grooms arrival ceremony.  The main part of the ceremony then takes place on the stage and Indian Mandap, this part of the ceremony includes many traditional rituals and is equally fascinating.  We did manage to take some bridal portraits at the Civic centre buildings around the City Hall.  One of the most emotional parts of the ceremony is when the bride says goodbye to her family.  This is a real privilege to witness and photograph and really does leave a lump in the throat.  The final part of the ceremony is the bride entering the grooms home with a few much more ‘lighthearted’ rituals.

A Wedding photographed at  The Chase Hotel in Ross on Wye, in Herefordshire, South Wales.  The day started at the family diary farm in the Herefordshire countryside where everyone was helping Nicky get ready.  The Ceremony took place at a nearby St. David’s Church, Much Dewchurch.  Nicky arrived in a horse and carriage and after the ceremony Nicky and Aaron were able to take a short ride before being transported to the Chase Hotel in Ross.  We did all of the family portraits as soon as we arrived at the Chase Hotel.  We were then able to use the extensive grounds and the hotel interior to take the Bridal wedding photographs before the bride and groom sat down for their wedding breakfast.  The guests were able to take advantage of the nice evening weather and sit outside whilst having their Hog Roast buffet.  A local band was used for the evening festivities.

Leena & Ketan chose to have their wedding ceremony at Cardiff Castle.  This was the civil part of an Asian wedding that was photographed at the undercroft at Cardiff Castle.  Leena got ready at their new home in Cardiff which was great as we had a blank canvas to work with.  We were able to use all the grounds at the Castle that are not open to the public.  After the Cardiff Castle Ceremony and photographs we went to City Hall for an amazing ‘Bollywood’ reception & party.  We were also lucky enough to cover Leena & Ketan’s Asian Ceremony.
