Llansantffraed Court Hotel was the stunning venue for the wedding of Nikki & Tom on a chilly but dry December day! Nikki got ready at the venue where Alex Gallop applied beautiful make up and Lisa Bidwell styled her and her Sister Helen’s hair, Helen was also Nikki’s Bridesmaid. Their Mum Jane was on hand to assist with proceedings like lacing up the beautiful gown that Nikki had chosen from Tantrums and Tiaras in Sittingbourne and adding the veil, whilst Helen helped adding the shoes and jewellery. The Wedding of Julia & Chris took place at The Angel Hotel Abergavenny on the windiest and wettest day in December, but it did not stop everyone enjoying themselves! We had a very warm welcome at Julia’s Mum & Dad’s home where Julia was getting ready. While Julia’s Dad was putting some finishing touches to his speech, we busied ourselves with photographing some of the lovely detail of the day including some gorgeous red roses from Love Lily. Julia’s friends Emma & Beth arrived to help her to get in to her beautiful Wedding dress, jewellery and veil. We went ahead to Our Lady’s St Michael’s Church in Abergavenny to meet up with Chris, his family and his Best Man Rob. Julia’s brothers, brothers in law and nephews were showing guests to their seats. The rain didn’t let up but Julia managed to get to the church in her Dad’s Mercedes without getting soaking wet and a beautiful service followed. Father Richard Simon, kindly, allowed us to take the Family photographs at the altar after the ceremony, we then continued to take the rest of the photographs at The Angel Hotel Abergavenny, where the Ballroom had been decorated fabulously for the Wedding breakfast. A Brass Band were playing Christmas tunes whilst the guests enjoyed drinks and canapés. We captured some great expressions during the speeches and some fun friends photographs after the meal. A DJ and a Band got the evening going where we left Julia & Chris and their guests dancing the night away!

Here are a few of our favourite images from our latest wedding of Eleanor & Matt at Llansantffraed Court Hotel, near Abergavenny. We joined Eleanor, her bridesmaids and family at the hotel, where they were getting ready applying their own make up, beautifully! All was calm and once the bridesmaids in their chocolate brown dresses from the Cardiff Bridal Centre and her Mum were ready they helped Eleanor in to her beautiful dress which was from Sentiments in Bridgend. We met up with Matt once he had arrived at the hotel with his Groomsmen and family. The boys looking very smart in their grey Hugo Boss suits with orange ties that complimented the colour theme for the day of Autumnal colours. We were able to photograph Eleanor and her family prior to the ceremony too just before proceedings got under way. The flowers from Hilary’s in Abergavenny added the final touch with beautiful bouquets and decorative roses also in the autumnal colours of orange and cream. Once the lovely ceremony had taken place it was dry enough for the Bridal party and their guests to be outside on the lovely terrace at Llansantffraed Court Hotel and enjoy their welcome drinks, despite the cold, whilst we took the family photographs on the pathway under the trees that are a beautiful colour at this time of year, just perfect for Eleanor & Matt’s day. They then enjoyed a beautifully cooked meal before speeches got under way with laughter and tears! Having cut the gorgeous cake made by Boutique Bakehouse in Bristol the reception room was cleared to make way for the band, family friends of Matt’s, who played a fab mixture of music and kept the dance floor full all night!! Looking forward to seeing the happy couple again when they return from their amazing honeymoon in Bali!

Llansantffraed Court Hotel was the beautiful setting for their Civil Ceremony and it was a relaxed atmosphere with the ceremony taking place at 4pm. We hadn’t had a rainy Wedding day for a while, but it didn’t stop Rachel & Kris having their photographs taken outside on their Wedding Day! We joined Rachel and her Bridesmaids, Mum & Aunt in the Bridal suite where she had her make up applied by Leanne and her hair styled by Gaynor & Sian. We left them all to it for a little while to go and find Kris and his Best Man, Usher and family to take some pre-ceremony photographs, all of the men looked smart in their light grey suits from Dyfed Menswear and the ladies looked gorgeous in their outfits too! When we went back to the Bridal suite the Bridesmaids were in their fuschia coloured dresses and they then helped Rachel in to her beautiful dress from All About Eve in Newport and her wedding shoes which were unusually sparkly from Rainbow! It started to rain before the ceremony so Rachel and her Dad stayed inside the hotel to enter. After a very emotional ceremony everyone stayed indoors with their welcome drinks and were really happy to come outside under a huge tree that acted as a canopy and kept everyone dry! Rachel & Kris were brilliant sports and remained outside for their Bridal portraits, happy to walk under our white Bridal ‘double umbrella’! After their beautiful meal it was time for the speeches, all 7 of them! There was just a bit of time to have a few more photographs of their friends and then the DJ got the evening started with their first dance and got everyone else up dancing straight afterwards. They are heading off on their honeymoon in September to Las Vegas, where Kris proposed!!!

Here are a few food photography images recently taken of the amazingly sumptuous food being produced at Llansantffraed Court Hotel near Abergavenny. The Hotel’s philosophy is to use local organic produce wherever possible supplemented with their own freshly grown vegetables, herbs and fruit from their walled market garden. The new kitchen team is led by the very talented Head Chef Mike Hendry, formerly from the Michelin Starred Crown at Whitebrook. All the food photography was taken using natural light and environment in keeping with the organic approach of the hotel. Our main obstacle on this unusually hot day was getting the deserts shot before the ice cream melted and of course controlling the urge to tuck straight in to the mouthwatering dishes!!! The hardship in this line of work is the after shoot tasting, sheer heaven………! Can’t wait to shoot more of their food – watch this space!
So if you fancy a real great dining experience, we can thoroughly recommend a visit, check out their menu options.

This post contains a choice of our favourite images from the wedding of Kate & Damien at Llansantffraed Court Hotel, near Abergavenny. Kate got ready with her bridesmaids in one of the rooms at Llansantffraed Court Hotel. The ceremony took place at the St.Bridges, the small church at the end of the grounds at the Llansantffraed Court Hotel, where we met Damien and the boys. It was certainly a tight squeeze in the church, but at least it kept everyone a little warmer in the freezing December conditions. We took a few shots outside the church before walking back to the Hotel with Kate and Damien and getting inside out of the cold. The marquee looked amazing, helped as usual by the beautiful table displays from Emma at Love Lily in Abergavenny.
This post contains a choice of our favourite wedding photos from the wedding of Michelle and Matthew at the Angel Hotel Abergavenny. Michelle got ready with her bridesmaid and family at her parent’s house in Monmouth. The ceremony took place in Monmouth Baptist Church. After the ceremony we took a few family portraits in the church grounds opposite and then went on to the Angel Hotel Abergavenny. Michelle and Matthew wanted their bridal portraits in the grounds of Abergavenny Castle just up the road from the hotel. We then went back to the Angel Hotel Abergavenny and covered the speeches.
This post contains a choice of our favourite images from the wedding of Libby & Matt at Llansantffraed Court Hotel, near Abergavenny. We met Matt at St. Mary’s Priory in Abergavenny before the ceremony. Libby arrived on time with her dad and almost lost her veil to a sudden gust of wind, great catch by an Usher!! The ceremony was great in the magnificent church. A big thank you to Father Mark Soady who kindly allowed us to use the alter for some family portraits as the rain came down. It was then a mad dash to Llansantffraed Court Hotel where we completed the Bridal portraits. We used some indoor areas for the bridal portraits as the bad weather continued. Libby and Matt were very brave and managed to get a few quick shots in the wonderful grounds at Llansantffraed Court Hotel.
This post contains a choice of our favourite images from a recent wedding at Llansantffraed Court Hotel, near Abergavenny. The bride got ready with her close friends and family in the bridal suite at Llansantffraed Court Hotel. The ceremony took place in the small church at the end of the hotel grounds. We took a few family portraits in the church grounds before going back to the hotel to complete them. The weather was kind and we were able to do all the bridal portraits in the beautiful grounds of the Llansantffraed Court Hotel. It was great fun photographing through the speeches. The fun carried on into the evening.
The wedding photography of Kelly and David at Llandaff Cathedral, Cardiff. Their their reception was at Llansantffraed Court Hotel, near Abergavenny. The day started with Kelly getting ready at Llansantffraed Court Hotel before travelling down to Llandaff Cathedral in Cardiff for their Ceremony conducted by Canon Halcombe. After the ceremony we took a few family portraits in the Llandaff Cathedral grounds. We were then able to take Kelly & David back inside to take advantage of some shafts of sunlight coming through the stained glass windows. We were then back on the road to Llansantffraed Court to cover the wedding breakfast and speeches. Some great evening skies over the surrounding hills were used to take a few evening shots before the partying began.
